Easter Camp 2016 – Highlights and Thank Yous

It’s hard to believe it has already been a week since Easter Camp finished! We just wanted to highlight some of the changes and improvements we’ve made at this camp. Here at Blossom we know we are only as good as our last camp, so we are continually seeking to improve and grow.

Getting Out and About

We are passionate about our Blossom kids and teens being active members of the community, and our Blossom Buddies teens can often be seen out and about in local Raheny businesses or working with local community groups. Some of the older children and teens at easter camp this year took on the extra responsibility of going out to a local café to buy lunch for themselves and for the younger campers.

Thanks to the friendly staff at Soprano’s the group were able to practise their money handling and food ordering skills, and enjoy some tasty chips!

Yoga has been a feature of previous camps but this year we integrated it into every day of camp. This really set the mood and tone for the day, allowing both kids and staff to have some relaxation time.

Thank Yous

This camp would not have been possible without the backing of our generous donors, fundraisers and supporters.

All of the wonderful photographs have been supplied free of charge by our volunteer photographers – Olwyn, Roisin, Teresa, Ann, and Bill.

We would also like to thank our amazing staff who have given 100% to make this camp a success.

For now we are continuing to run our Blossom Buddies and Yoga programmes, while planning for our biggest and best summer camp yet!

If you know a child who would enjoy coming to Blossom Discovery camps, check out our Summer 2016 Applications which have now opened.
