Blossom Camp Recipes

Over the past four weeks, our Blossom campers have been hard at work creating healthy treats and smoothies at camp. Here are some of the recipes if you would like to try them at home. All designed to be healthy and manageable for younger and older kids! No heat required, just a blender or food processor.

Super Fudge Recipe


6 Tablespoons Coconut Oil

200 Grams Almond Butter

120 Grams Honey

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

A Pinch of Sea Salt

2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder

2 Tablespoons Goji Berries

4 Tablespoons Chocolate Chips

60 Grams Ground Almonds


  1. Melt the Coconut Oil in the microwave.
  2. Pour Coconut Oil into a mixing bowl.
  3. Add all the remaining ingredients, except 1 tablespoon each of the Goji Berries and Chocolate Chips.
  4. Mix really well, until smooth and silky.
  5. Pour into a plastic storage container, evenly so that the fudge is 2.5 centimeters high.
  6. Top with the remaining tablespoon of Goji Berries and Chocolate Chips.
  7. Put the lid on and refrigerate for 4 hours.

Chocolate Cookie Dough Balls


30 Grams Porridge Oats

A pinch of Salt

80 Grams Cashews

80 Grams Chopped Dates

2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

3 Tablespoons Chocolate Chips


  1. Blend the oats, salt, and cashews in a food processor for a couple of minutes, until the mix looks like crumbs.
  2. Add the dates and blend for 2 minutes.
  3. Melt the coconut oil in the microwave.
  4. Add coconut oil and vanilla to the food processor.
  5. Blend until mixed.  If the mix is too crumbly, add a couple of teaspoons of water and blend again.
  6. Pour mixture into a large mixing bowl.
  7. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  8. Break off small pieces and form them into bite size balls.

We held a smoothie making challenge as part of our Great Blossom Bake Off, and it was a big hit with all of the campers. It’s a fun way to introduce kids to different fruits and veg.
